So, I am not going home this summer. While I do miss home, and people back home, I feel like this is not the best time for my sentimentality to get the better of my judgment. Honestly, as the Philippines is on a different schedule from the United States, I think it is most likely that I will be at home bumming and watching the World Cup, while all my friends are in school. While the World Cup is dandy and all, I feel like I’m on a 4, possibly 5, hopefully 6 year adventure away from home. I think that taking extended breaks here and there would mean that I’m not using the most of my opportunities currently. Also, I HATE FLYING. 

So, instead, I’m studying Chinese this summer. Hopefully I’ll be able to go to the Shanghai Expo. I wish.
